Bibliophiles and food lovers unite in the First Edition of the Gainesville Edible Book Festival. This event is open to all foodie creators to craft your punniest version of a book. Celebrated internationally, the Edible Book Festival is an homage to Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin, a French lawyer who wrote the now-classic book The Physiology of Taste, which explored the joys and science of eating. It is the most famous book about food ever written and also the source of the famous aphorism, “Tell me what you eat and I will tell you what you are.”

Cypress & Grove Brewery will be hosting this event and have delicious beer on tap for you to enjoy while perusing the displays. Sign up is required to participate with your creation but the event is free and open to the public. Sign up proceeds will go towards building a Little Free Library for the Gainesville community in celebration of School Library Month.
